CMA CGM imposes port congestion surcharge in Gambia

French container shipping company CMA CGM has announced the imposition of a port congestion surcharge due to the current congestion in Banjul, The Gambia.


The surcharge will take effect on August 15, 2024 and September 1, 2024 for cargo from the United States and Latin American countries.


PCS will apply to cargo shipped to The Gambia. The surcharge is USD 500 / EUR 460 / GB 385 per TEU.
