Angola’s Minister of State for Economic Coordination, Massano, praised Chinese companies for their investment

On the morning of September 23, 2023, when Angola’s Minister of State for Economic Coordination, José de Lima Marzano, led a government delegation to visit the Angola-China Chamber of Commerce in the Angolan-China Logistics and Trade City (KIKUXI Shopping), he praised the Angola-China Chamber of Commerce for its Investments to promote economic development in Angola.

In his speech, the Minister of State for Economic Coordination emphasized the active investment of Chinese enterprises in the field of food safety, a key project of the government, and spoke highly of the job opportunities created by Chinese enterprises for Angolan people. The administration will continue to create the necessary business environment to continue investing in the country.

The Minister of State for Economic Coordination reiterated the executive branch’s strong commitment to implement policies aimed at boosting national production, ensuring more employment, greater national autonomy, greater food security and better living conditions for citizens. Additionally, the government is looking into streamlining the export process for Angolan-made products, with plans to announce in March 2024 how this initiative will work.

The Minister of State for Economic Coordination also revealed that Angola and China are preparing to sign a reciprocal investment protection agreement soon. The authorities of China and Angola have reached an agreement on the agreement, and the two countries are currently studying the date and location for signing this important cooperation document through diplomatic channels.
