Kenya Airways is the largest airline in Kenya and the fifth largest in Africa. It was named "the most respected company in East Africa" for two consecutive years in 2005 and 2006, and is headquartered in the capital Nairobi. Kenya Airways joined SkyTeam in 2007, becoming the second airline in Africa to join the airline alliance.
On April 5, 2021, Kenya Airways announced the suspension of all flights to the UK from April 9.
