On November 5, the "Emirates Excellence" ship made its maiden voyage at the Qianwan Container Terminal of Qingdao Port. This is the second African route newly opened by Qingdao Port this year. Qingdao Port currently has 9 African container routes.

In the first three quarters, Qingdao Port completed cargo throughput of 504 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.7%; it completed container throughput of 22.34 million TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 11.6%. The port's main business achieved steady growth.
